Murder Row Dungeon Guide: All 4 Bosses in Silvermoon's
Boss-by-boss strategy for Murder Row — Kystia Manaheart, Zaen Bladesorrow, Xathuux the Annihilator, and Lithiel Cinderfury. The fel-smuggling crime den beneath…

Murder Row at a Glance

Silvermoon's criminal underbelly. A fel-smuggling operation that's been preying on Silvermoon citizens since the Voidstorm appeared. The dungeon entrance sits at coords 57.00, 61.00 inside Silvermoon City, unlocks at level 83, and is in the Heroic-only pool for Season 1 — not part of the M+ rotation.

Four bosses. Tight, vertical layout through Silvermoon's hidden corridors. Heavy trash density with lots of casters and ranged enemies, so a solid interrupt rotation matters even on Heroic.

Boss 1: Kystia Manaheart

The fel-obsessed blood elf running the smuggling operation. The fight introduces the dungeon's recurring "free the captive" mechanic.

Key Abilities

  • Illicit Infusion — debuff that traps Nibbles (a captive). Remove it to free Nibbles before the boss kills him for an extra ability.
  • Fel Spray — telegraphed AoE on the ground. Step out.

Role Notes

  • Tank: Standard tank-and-spank. Position the boss away from Nibbles' captive zone so DPS can free him cleanly.
  • Healer: Spot-heal Fel Spray bystanders. The fight isn't healing-heavy on Heroic.
  • DPS: Prioritize Illicit Infusion removal — the bonus from saving Nibbles meaningfully shortens the fight.

Boss 2: Zaen Bladesorrow

The positioning and barrel fight. Built around environmental hazards that the tank has to manage.

Key Abilities

  • Murder in a Row — Zaen casts at full energy. Take cover behind a barrel or wall to avoid the damage.
  • Poison application — Zaen poisons the tank on melee swings. Dispel quickly.
  • Barrel mechanics — explosive barrels around the room. Tanks can pull Zaen into them for additional damage; DPS need to avoid them.

Role Notes

  • Tank: Manage Zaen's positioning relative to barrels. Use them offensively when possible.
  • Healer: Dispel poison off the tank fast. The DoT compounds with Murder in a Row damage if it lingers.
  • DPS: Position behind cover before Murder in a Row resolves. The energy bar is your timer.

Boss 3: Xathuux the Annihilator

The first major demon in the dungeon. Built around frontal cone awareness and burst-window survival.

Key Abilities

  • Burning Steps — ground-pool damage. Don't stand in them.
  • Demonic Rage — burst window. Group damage spikes; pop defensives.
  • Frontal axe attack — easy-to-counter telegraph. Sidestep when you see the wind-up.

Role Notes

  • Tank: Active mitigation through Demonic Rage. Position Xathuux so the frontal axe doesn't hit the group.
  • Healer: Major cooldown for Demonic Rage. The healing pressure spike is short but sharp.
  • DPS: Move out of Burning Steps puddles. Avoid the frontal cone — it's telegraphed and dodgeable.

Boss 4: Lithiel Cinderfury

The final boss. Demonic Gateway and AoE management. The fight requires actually using one of the boss's abilities to survive a key mechanic.

Key Abilities

  • Malefic Wave — wide damage front. The only safe path through is via Lithiel's Demonic Gateway — use it to teleport across.
  • Chaos Bolt — interruptible. Kick on cooldown.
  • Summoned demons — adds spawn periodically. Tank pickup required.
  • Fingers of Gul'dan — AoE damage zones.

Role Notes

  • Tank: Pick up summoned demons immediately on spawn. Use Demonic Gateway to reposition Lithiel for cleaner DPS uptime.
  • Healer: Cooldowns through Fingers of Gul'dan. Save your interrupt for Chaos Bolt if your healer spec has one.
  • DPS: Interrupt every Chaos Bolt — they hit hard. Use the Gateway for Malefic Wave; standing in it is a near-wipe.

Trash Notes

Murder Row has dense trash with lots of casters. Patrolling Fel Smugglers and stealthed assassins make pulls unpredictable. The single most important habit: scout pulls before engaging. Look for patrols, identify caster priority, set up your interrupt rotation.

Specific mob types worth interrupting:

  • Fel Smuggler casters — small AoE damage casts that compound over a long pull
  • Voidtouched Magisters — apply healing-reduction debuffs. Kill priority.
  • Bound Demons — damage shields. Purge before bringing them low.

When To Run It

Murder Row is Heroic-only in Season 1, so it's primarily a leveling and weekly Heroic clear. The boss mechanics are clean enough that pug groups handle it fine on first run. Expect 12-15 minute clears once your group is over ilvl 230.

Season 2 is expected to rotate Murder Row into the Mythic+ pool, so getting comfortable with the layout now pays off later.
