Monday October 12, 2026 is a double header for RuneScape members. Jagex launched the Ghrazi Blood Knights, the high-level duo climax of this year's Havenhythe arc, and reopened Harvest Hollow for Halloween through November 1 at midnight. If you only log in for one weekly patch in October, this is the one that mixes a blind World First race with seasonal cosmetics you will still be wearing next year.

This guide sticks to what Jagex published today in The Ghrazi Blood Knights Are Here! and The Week Ahead: Ghrazi Blood Knights & Harvest Hollow, plus the October 9 prep post Havenhythe Part II - Prepare for the Ghrazi Blood Knights. It does not invent attack rotations, hitpoint totals, or drop rates Jagex did not print. For the Part II island route that gates the boss, keep our Havenhythe Part II guide open in another tab.

What is live today

Two big pillars shipped together:

  • Ghrazi Blood Knights duo boss: fight Lady Ghrazi and Lord Ghrazi side by side as a high-level encounter with distinct attacks per knight, coordination checks, and an Enrage ladder.
  • Harvest Hollow seasonal hub: portal from the Grand Exchange, Lodestone travel, or Event Tab, running October 12 to November 1 midnight.
  • Race to World First coverage on the official RuneScape Twitch channel with The RS Guy and PupRS.
  • Small Havenhythe Part II bugfixes listed in the week-ahead notes.
Jagex is also still talking about Reignited as a separate focus topic this week. Treat that as parallel communication, not as a mechanical change to today's boss or Halloween event.

Ghrazi Blood Knights: the duo fight

After Havenhythe Part I and Part II, the story bill comes due. The Blood Knights of House Ghrazi have crossed into Gielinor. Today's encounter is explicitly a partner fight: you and one other player take both leaders at once. Jagex frames it as a test of combat skill, coordination, and reacting under pressure, not a solo checklist on day one.

Story familiarity is not the same as fight familiarity. The October 9 prepare blog is blunt that even if you met Blood Knights in the Havenhythe storyline, the full boss mechanics are completely different. Go in expecting new tells, not a reskin of quest encounters.

Access reminder from Part II

To challenge the Knights you need Heralds of Crimson finished. That quest sits behind Secrets of Amberfell plus 55 Herblore, 51 Crafting, 65 Mining, and 60 Smithing. If you skipped Fenmoor and the Exalted Quarry last week, fix the quest gate before you burn supplies on a locked door.

Enrage ladder and Solo timing

4,000% EnrageLater date (not today)Called out as a future challenge
Solo encounter~4 weeks after Oct 12Separate from today's duo launch

Launch difficulty for the race is 2,000% Enrage. Lower difficulties stay locked until the first duo clears that opener. Once the race ends, Jagex lists Normal 0%, 100%, 500%, and 1,000% as unlocking. 4,000% is called out for a later date. The Solo version arrives about four weeks after today's duo launch, which puts it roughly in mid-November if the schedule holds.

Race to World First (times in CT)

Jagex handed production to The RS Guy with PupRS on commentary, streaming on the official RuneScape Twitch channel and jumping between player instances as teams learn the fight blind.

  • Livestream start: 11:15 Game Time (12:15 PM UK). That converts to about 6:15 AM CT on October 12.
  • Boss / race start: 12:00 Game Time (1:00 PM UK). About 7:00 AM CT.
  • Launch Enrage: 2,000% only until first clear.
  • Prize for first duo: exclusive one-of-a-kind World First title (only those two players ever own it) plus each winner receives Ghrazi Blood Knights concept art signed by the team.
  • Stream length: Jagex says coverage continues until winners are crowned, whether that takes hours or an early surprise clear.
Everyone is welcome to attempt. You do not need an invite code. Grab a partner, prep gear, and enter when the encounter unlocks. The cast will follow promising instances rather than locking the race to a private lobby.

Rewards Jagex actually detailed

Malachi's Tooth and Malachi's Claw

These are the headline Tier 95 Ranged crossbows, framed as relics of House Ghrazi afflicted with the same Sanguine substance tied to Lady Ghrazi. Jagex positions them beside Bow of the Last Guardian as a Tier 95 Ranged weapon set, but with a deliberately different identity.

Passive design (from the live boss blog):

  • 25% chance to refresh the cooldown of any Ranged ability used while they are equipped.
  • A second effect adds bonus damage whenever that refresh occurs.
  • Intended fantasy: explosive "pop-off" moments such as back-to-back Deadshots or extended Rapid Fire / Shadow Tendril windows.
Power intent matters as much as the proc text. Jagex says internal time trials do not put the crossbows above Bow of the Last Guardian. That is intentional. Bows keep the high-skill stack identity with Elder God arrows and BotLG. Crossbows get variance and highlight moments without stealing that ceiling, especially because crossbows lack a Dracolich-style armour pair today. Reward space for future subclass armour is part of that decision.

Invoke Arisen Flesh

This is the second Necromancy elemental codex. Design goal: trade safety for damage. Your zombie conjures siphon lifepoints from you to deal more damage, with extra power when you are below a health threshold. It is not locked to one zombie type in the blog's wording, so future zombie conjures should benefit the way Lord of Bones style effects do.

If your current Necromancy loop is built around staying topped up through Vengeful Ghost healing (and not leaning on Devourer's Nexus edge cases), this codex is meant to pull you out of that comfort zone on purpose.

Other chase pieces called out

  • Lady Ghrazi boss pet (described as a smaller version of Lady Ghrazi).
  • Collection log title for completing the log.
  • Enrage titles for pushing the ladder, including the race-only World First title for the first 2,000% duo clear.

Loot presentation and unique count

Jagex is testing a tighter unique table instead of flooding the boss with filler uniques. Their stated reasons are power creep control and long-term reward value. They also deliberately return to floor loot rather than a chest system for this encounter, because seeing drop models and right-clicking a pile still matters to a lot of PvMers.

Bakriminel bolts pass (coming weeks)

No patch numbers today, but Jagex confirms a forthcoming pass over Bakriminel bolts so crossbow ammo power lines up better with proc chance versus Elder God arrows. That indirectly supports Ascensions, Blightbounds, and the new Malachi crossbows while keeping crossbow ammo's RNG identity.

Harvest Hollow 2026 checklist

Harvest Hollow runs October 12 through November 1 at midnight. Enter via the Grand Exchange portal, Lodestone, or Event Tab. Returning activities are back, and this year adds a new miniquest plus a player-housing Trick or Treat loop.

All Souls' Eve miniquest

Frank wants the Horsemen to throw their own celebration instead of letting the Land of Snow own the seasonal spotlight. All Souls' Eve has you help prepare the party, including unusual refreshments and entertainment, with one guest who is less enthusiastic. Completing it unlocks your Trick or Treat Bowl for the Player-Owned House, which gates the new daily neighbour-visit activity.

Missed older Hollow stories? Field of Screams and Guys and Dolls are returning for catch-up.

Trick or Treat (daily)

After the miniquest and bowl placement:

  • Visit your own house and take a Trick or Treat Bag from your bowl.
  • Visit another player's house and use your bag on their Trick or Treat Bowl.
  • Open the filled bag for rewards.
You can participate once per day, with a same-day bonus, plus catch-up mechanics if you miss days. Returning favourites include the Ensouled Pumpkin Mask. The debut chase is the Pink Halloween Mask.

Pink Halloween Mask guarantee

Jagex's wording is player-friendly: you are guaranteed the Pink Halloween Mask within your first 14 Trick or Treat Bags opened. That is the cleanest seasonal mask path they have published in this post. Still open bags after the guarantee if you want duplicates or other table hits, but the fourteen-bag ceiling is the planning number for alts and friends helping each other's bowls.

Horseclan Competition refresh

Horseman / FrankAssociated Harvest Hollow activity
DeathCoffin and Mausoleum Thieving
WarThe Maize Maze
PestilenceSummoning Circle
FaminePumpkin Patch Farming
FrankMystery Remains Archaeology

You can earn up to two Horseclan Confections per day: one from Trick or Treating and one from skilling. Hand them in to support any Horseman you like, even if that differs from your old Field of Screams team choice. Missed daily Confections can be bought from the Harvest Boon Store with Spooky Tokens.

Sunday Horseclan Ceremony

Every Sunday at 20:00 Game Time, votes crown a winning Horseman for the week. That Horseman's activity then gets a 20% Spooky Token boost for the following week. Contributors claim a guaranteed weekly cosmetic:

Ceremony weekGuaranteed cosmetic for contributors
Week 1Trick or Treat Broom Staff Override
Week 2Trick or Treat Witch Hat Override
Week 3Trick or Treat Basket

Previous years' ceremony rewards also return. Lucky rolls can produce a Soul Dyed Halloween Mask, with odds scaling to how many Confections you handed in.

Soul Dye via clue caskets

During Harvest Hollow, Hard, Elite, and Master clue completions can award Spooky Reward Caskets with a chance at Soul Dye. That is a second Soul Dye path stacked on top of whatever other seasonal luck tables exist. Dust off clue outfits if you were already mid-stash.

Skilling, Maize Maze, and token economy

Returning Hollow skilling (pumpkins, bonfires, mystery remains, and friends) still earns XP and Spooky Tokens. New this year: Spooky Tokens can be earned outside Harvest Hollow for the first time, though the hub still has the best rates. The Maize Maze returns with Phosphosseous, Solak-O'-Lantern, and Skaraxxi, dropping spoils with tokens, seasonal rewards, and cosmetics.

Reynold's Harvest Boon Store refresh

New spend targets called out today:

  • 2007 Grim Reaper Hood
  • Harvest Hollow POH Portal customisation
  • Halloween POH Decorations
Returning favourites remain on the seasonal shelf. Spend tokens on wardrobe first if you care about rare hoods, then housing flair.

H'Oddments final call

The H'Oddments Store returns for the Hollow window. You cannot earn new H'Oddments, but you can spend the balance or convert into Spooky Tokens. Any remaining H'Oddments are removed when the event ends, so clear the currency pouch before November 1 midnight.

Havenhythe Part II small fixes in this week ahead

Jagex listed three practical fixes alongside the headline launches:

  • Players who dropped the schematic for upgrading havensilver weapons can search the chest again for another.
  • Fixed a progression block during trap construction in Heralds of Crimson.
  • Augmented Hawthorn's hatchet cutting power now correctly matches the unaugmented version.
If you soft-locked on the quest trap step or lost a schematic, re-check those interactions before blaming your inventory management.

Day-one route that respects both halves

You will not clear 2,000% Enrage and finish every Hollow activity in one sitting. Pick a lane:

If you are racing or learning the boss

  • Confirm Heralds of Crimson is complete.
  • Partner up and watch the Official Twitch cast for early mechanic callouts without treating every chatter theory as fact.
  • Bank food, brews, and style switches around Ranged and Necromancy if those are your drop goals.
  • Expect wipes at 2,000%. That is the point of the race lock.

If you are here for Halloween first

  • Run All Souls' Eve and place the Trick or Treat Bowl.
  • Do today's bag exchange so the 14-bag Pink Mask counter starts.
  • Grab both daily Confections and dump them into a Horseman before Sunday's ceremony.
  • Convert or spend H'Oddments early so you do not forget near November 1.

If you need both without burning out

Do the miniquest and one Trick or Treat cycle before boss attempts. Seasonal progress is daily-gated; boss learning is attempt-gated. Missing a bag day has catch-up. Missing a mechanic read just costs another supply trip.

Soft note for account progress

High-level duo PvM and seasonal collection logs both reward accounts that already cleared the Havenhythe skill gates. If you are rebuilding a members account toward bossing or Iron-friendly seasonal goals, keep progression on a trusted path and avoid sketchy account trades when what you really need is quest cape momentum and combat levels.

Frequently Asked Questions

When do the Ghrazi Blood Knights launch?

Monday October 12, 2026. The World First race begins at 12:00 Game Time (1:00 PM UK, about 7:00 AM CT), with the Official Twitch stream starting at 11:15 Game Time.

What are Malachi's Tooth and Claw?

New Tier 95 Ranged crossbows from the Ghrazi Blood Knights. They have a 25% chance to refresh a Ranged ability cooldown and deal bonus damage when that refresh happens. Jagex says they are intentionally not above Bow of the Last Guardian in raw power.

What is Invoke Arisen Flesh?

A Necromancy elemental codex reward. Zombie conjures siphon your lifepoints to deal more damage, with extra power below a health threshold.

How long does Harvest Hollow run?

October 12 through November 1 at midnight. Enter from the Grand Exchange portal, Lodestone, or Event Tab.

How do I get the Pink Halloween Mask?

Through Trick or Treating after All Souls' Eve. Jagex guarantees the Pink Halloween Mask within your first 14 Trick or Treat Bags opened.

How does Soul Dye show up this year?

Hard, Elite, and Master clues can award Spooky Reward Caskets with a Soul Dye chance during Harvest Hollow. Ceremony luck can also produce a Soul Dyed Halloween Mask based on Confections handed in.

What happens to leftover H'Oddments?

Spend them in the returning H'Oddments Store or convert them to Spooky Tokens. Remaining H'Oddments are removed when Harvest Hollow ends.

Where should I verify details after this article?

Re-read Jagex's Ghrazi live blog and week-ahead post, and watch the Official Twitch race for first-clear timing. In-game patch notes always win if anything shifts after publish.

Final notes for October 12

Havenhythe's combat finale and Harvest Hollow's seasonal opener landing on the same Monday is classic RuneScape scheduling: one login, two completely different session plans. Respect the 2,000% race if you are chasing history. Respect the fourteen-bag Pink Mask counter if you are chasing cosmetics. Either way, the primary sources above are the ground truth until Jagex posts a hotfix.
