Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Sprites: All Sprites, Abilities, and Drop Rates

Sprites in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override are a brand new generation of collectible companions, each granting a passive ability for the whole match. Twenty are now obtainable after Morgana and the full Bounty Hunter finish line went live on September 24. Sonic and Shadow are the strongest all-round picks, Jackrabbit is the best movement Sprite, Blinky and Crash Bandicoot bring the Legendary count to four, and Klombo and Crown are the two Mythics. Sprite Chests are gone: you now open Cheat Code Chests by entering a directional code.

This guide covers all twenty obtainable Sprites with their real abilities and rarities, including Sonic, Shadow, Jackrabbit, Klombo, X-Ray, Blinky, Crash Bandicoot, Pond, and Morgana, plus how Cheat Code Chests work, all 37 Lobby Hack codes, every finish, and what happened to your Season 3 collection.

Updated September 24, 2026 for Morgana and the Bounty Hunter release. Abilities and rarities below are confirmed in game. Epic still has not published drop rates, so this guide gives the rarity tiers and chest colours rather than invented percentages.

Start here: Bush, Adventure, and Jonesy are the three starter Sprites you can simply pick. Then go to the lobby Admin Panel and redeem GottaGoFast, IWannaFlyHigh, 8BitBlast, Born2Play, and Play4All, which hand you five Cheat Master Sprites outright before you play a single match, plus JonesyIsGolden for a Gold one. A sixth, Cheat Master Bush, needs a quest first.

What are Sprites in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4?

A Sprite is a companion that rides along with you and applies a passive ability for as long as it is equipped. Sprites level up during a match, and every ability scales with level, so a Sprite you have carried through a full game is meaningfully stronger than one you summoned in the final circle.

Override's Sprites are a new generation rather than a continuation of Season 3. The roster is entirely different, the art style changed to blocky, cube-shaped designs that read as backpacks, and the way you find them has been rebuilt around the season's Cheat Code theme.

The four rarity tiers are the same as Season 3: Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythic. Season 4 now has eight Rares, six Epics, four Legendaries, and two Mythics.

Some names changed at launch. The Sprites shown in the trailer as Jazz Jackrabbit, Victory Crown, The Adventurer, and Bushranger are in game simply as Jackrabbit, Crown, Adventure, and Bush. Shadow, Jonesy, and 8-Bit were not in the trailer at all.

What the September 17 update changed

The three Sprites added on September 17: Blinky, Pond, and Crash Bandicoot

The v42.20 update added three Sprites, all obtainable immediately:

Blinky (Legendary), the Pac-Man ghost: taking damage cloaks you for a short time, making you harder to spot.
Crash Bandicoot (Legendary): perform a spin attack while midair, damaging and knocking back nearby opponents.
Pond (Epic), a Design-A-Sprite winner: jump shortly after landing to launch a Super Jump, higher and more often with each Sprite Level.

Each arrived with Gold, Cheat Master, and Loot Hacker finishes. Together with the Bounty Hunter Crown finish that was already equippable, the season had 74 obtainable Sprite entries at that point. Three other things changed in the same update:

Cheat Code drops were reworked. Sprites of any rarity can now come from Rare (blue) or Epic (purple) Cheat Codes, Epic codes have much better odds of a variant, and Legendary (gold) codes guarantee a variant Sprite.
Epic announced Bounty Hunter for September 24. Bounty Hunter Sprites have a chance to appear when you eliminate opponents and level up only from eliminations. Bounty Hunter Crown arrived early with the September 17 update.
Epic dated the Birthday Sprite for Saturday, September 26: chests have a chance to serve slices of cake, and at max Sprite Level eliminations can too. Morgana also appeared on trackers as a preview before going live a week later.

What the September 24 release changed

Morgana and the rest of the Bounty Hunter finish line are now obtainable:

Morgana is an Epic Sprite that increases the effectiveness of healing items, with stronger healing at each level. Its Base, Gold, Cheat Master, Loot Hacker, and Bounty Hunter forms all went live together.
Seventeen Bounty Hunter finishes joined the already released Crown version. They can appear when you eliminate opponents and gain Sprite XP from eliminations unless the underlying Sprite has its own special XP rules.
Season 4 now has 20 obtainable Sprite families and 96 obtainable checklist entries. The five Birthday entries are the only rows still marked Soon.

What the September 3 update changed

The four Sprites added on September 3: Overshield, Onigiri, X-Ray, and Mega Man

The v42.10 update is the biggest addition to the Sprite pool since launch day. Four new Sprites went live, two of them designed by players:

X-Ray is Legendary, so Jackrabbit is no longer the only one. Onigiri is the other community design; Overshield and Mega Man are Epic's, Mega Man arriving alongside the Mega Buster.
A third finish, Loot Hacker, appeared on every Sprite except Mega Man. Those finishes went live a week later, on September 10.
Mastering a Sprite now halves the Sprite Dust cost to resummon it, and a new Mastery reward track was added.

Two things this guide previously listed as pending have since happened. Storm Scout released on August 29 and is a normal Rare you can find in the world. And the Lobby Hack code list has grown from 16 codes to 25.

Loot Hack and Loot Hacker: a Loot Hack changes which items appear in your loot pool. The Loot Hacker Sprite finish is a separate collectable, but its effect is tied to them: it increases the chance of spawning items from your Loot Hacks.

How to get Sprites in Chapter 7 Season 4

Sprite Chests no longer exist. They have been replaced by Cheat Code Chests, and this is the single biggest change to the loop.

Find a Cheat Code Injector. These sit on walls and floors around POIs. Green Hills, Stone Sanctum, Lifty Lodge, Shaken Sanctuary, and The Battlewoods are the reliable hotspots.
Enter the code. The chest shows a sequence of arrows and you input it with directional movement, so forward is up, backward is down, and so on.
Take the Sprite. A Cheat Code Chest gives a guaranteed random Sprite.
Survive to extraction to add it to your collection permanently.
Spend Sprite Dust afterwards to summon anything you have already unlocked.

Since the September 17 update, the colour of the code tells you your odds of a variant rather than the Sprite's rarity:

Blue (Rare) codes can give a Sprite of any rarity.
Purple (Epic) codes can also give any rarity, with much better odds of a variant.
Gold (Legendary) codes guarantee a variant Sprite.

Code colour is random per location, so there is no spot on the map that reliably produces Gold codes. Sprites also drop from ordinary chests at a low rate, from eliminating players who are carrying one, and from Lobby Hack codes.

The Cheat Master shortcut: equip any Cheat Master variant and you no longer have to enter the arrow sequence at all. You can spam any button to open a Cheat Code Chest. Since five Cheat Master Sprites unlock immediately from Lobby Hack codes, this is the strongest early-season advantage available to anyone.

Every Lobby Hack code in Override

Lobby Hack codes are redeemed from the Admin Panel button in the top right of the lobby screen. They cost nothing and most are permanent unlocks. There are 37 codes as of September 17, five of them added with that day's v42.20 update. The Cheat Master codes are the ones worth redeeming first, because each is both a Sprite you own outright and a permanent skip on the arrow minigame. Five unlock immediately; Cheat Master Bush is a sixth, gated behind stage 9 of Wrixel's Get Crafty questline.

Two codes are quest-gated, as the table notes. YourThoughtsAreMine needs the hidden Geno quest, which you start by finding Geno on the overworld map and shooting at him so that he zaps you.

Five more codes are sitting in the files. Dataminers have found unreleased Lobby Hack rewards for Cheat Master X-Ray, Cheat Master Onigiri, Cheat Master Shadow, Loot Hacker Adventure, and Loot Hacker Jonesy. Epic has released codes on Mondays so far this season, so the next batch is the one to watch for. No date has been confirmed, and the code strings are not public yet.

Rare Sprites

The eight Rares are the easiest to get. Three of them, Bush, Adventure, and Jonesy, are starter Sprites you can simply select, and the rest turn up in Cheat Code Chests of any colour. Four of the eight arrived after launch day: Storm Scout on August 29, then Mega Man, Onigiri, and Overshield on September 3.

Being paid for taking storm damage is unusual, and it turns a late rotation along the edge of the circle into a real option rather than a mistake. Datamines also credited it with revealing future circles at max level, but the in-game description says nothing about that, so treat it as unconfirmed.

Epic Sprites

There are five Epics. Three of them, Sonic, Tails, and Shadow, are the Sega crossover Sprites and cluster around the Green Hills POI. Pond, a community design, joined them on September 17.

Legendary Sprites

Mythic Sprites

The two Mythics are the rarest in the pool. Both are unusual in that they cannot be levelled by ordinary play.

The Design-A-Sprite winners

Epic ran a Sprite concept contest earlier in 2026 and picked five community winners, all of which are due in Season 4. Entries were being shared in June. Three have arrived so far, the first two on September 3:

X-Ray Sprite by Avila215. The concept came from Brady, an eight year old player, who based it on the glasses he has worn since major eye surgery at the age of five. Epic shipped it as a Legendary.
Onigiri Sprite by Enorull. Epic swapped this in for the creator's original Bullet Sprite concept, so the Bullet Sprite is not coming.

Pond Sprite by matsubokiri, credited in Epic's v42.20 notes as Pine & Kiri. It arrived on September 17 as an Epic.

Birthday and Morgana Sprites

Morgana is now in the game with all five finishes. Birthday is the only Sprite family still shown as a preview on the checklist, with five entries due September 26.

A slice of cake with lit candles, arriving Saturday, September 26. Chests have a chance to serve cake, and once the Sprite is at max level eliminations can serve it too. Epic has not given it a rarity. Gold, Cheat Master, Loot Hacker, and Bounty Hunter versions are already listed with it, which is five checklist entries in total.

Morgana, the cat companion from Persona 5, increases the effectiveness of healing items, and the bonus grows with every Sprite Level. Its Base, Gold, Cheat Master, Loot Hacker, and Bounty Hunter finishes all became obtainable on September 24.

Every Sprite has a plain Base appearance plus, potentially, extra finishes that re-skin it and change what it does. Season 3 ended with seven finishes. Season 4 launched with two, Loot Hacker arrived on September 3, and Bounty Hunter went live on September 24. They do genuinely different things rather than being pure cosmetics.

Gold gives 3x bonus XP from eliminations while equipped. Gold variants become available during Power Hours rather than dropping freely.
Cheat Master lets you skip the Cheat Code arrow sequence entirely, so you can spam any button to open a Cheat Code Chest. Five of them are free from Lobby Hack codes.
Loot Hacker increases the chance of spawning items from your Loot Hacks. It was added on September 3 and went live on September 10, on every obtainable Sprite except Mega Man. Morgana brings the live total to nineteen.
Bounty Hunter Sprites can appear when you eliminate opponents and gain Sprite XP only from eliminations unless the Sprite has its own special XP rules. All nineteen current Bounty Hunter finishes are now obtainable.

The first fifteen Loot Hacker finishes: a blue-violet shell with magenta circuit traces. Blinky, Crash Bandicoot, Pond, and Morgana have one too, and every obtainable Season 4 Sprite has one except Mega Man, which has no finishes at all.

Cheat Master is the most useful of the four for most players, because it compounds: it makes every future Cheat Code Chest faster and safer to open, which means more Sprites.

How to get Loot Hacker Sprites. Since September 10 they drop like other variants, from Cheat Code Chests, ordinary chests, and eliminations, and since September 17 a Legendary (gold) Cheat Code guarantees a variant. The mastery path also works: the finishes unlock in order, Base, then Cheat Master, then Gold, then Loot Hacker, mastering each one before the next. Two Loot Hacker finishes, for Adventure and Jonesy, have also been found as unreleased Lobby Hack code rewards.

Loot Hacker Crown still comes from winning. Crown is the only Sprite that levels purely on wins, so its finishes come from the mastery chain: win a match to unlock the base Crown Sprite, then win once more with each finish equipped in turn, Cheat Master then Gold, and mastering the Gold one awards Loot Hacker Crown. Four wins in total, and they do not need to be consecutive.

Epic has not confirmed whether any of the Season 3 finishes (Gummy, Galaxy, Gem, Holofoil, Cube, Quack) are returning. Treat any list claiming they are as unverified until it shows up in game.

Power Hours and Gold variants

Power Hours are recurring weekend windows in which the chance of rare Sprites dropping goes up and Gold variants become obtainable. The first ran on Saturday, August 22, from 2pm to 4pm ET and again from 9pm to 11pm ET, and they have continued weekly since: the August 29 Sonic Power Hours are when Storm Scout and its finishes went live.

Epic announces each weekend's window in game rather than on a fixed published schedule, so check the lobby before planning around one. If you only have time for a couple of sessions in a week, these are the hours worth spending, and they are the only reliable way to add Gold finishes.

What about drop rates?

Epic has not published a drop rate table for Season 4, and the trackers that measured Season 3's percentages are still gathering data. Anyone showing you exact Season 4 percentages today is guessing.

The structure above is more useful than percentages anyway, because you can act on it: a gold code guarantees a variant, a purple code improves your odds of one, and volume of chests opened matters more than where you land. Two things it does not cover — Klombo and Crown sit outside the Cheat Code tiers entirely, described only as very rare finds, and none of the September 3 Sprites needed a purchase or a Battle Pass tier.

We will replace this section with real numbers once Epic or a reliable tracker publishes them.

Sprite Dust, Gizmos, and quality-of-life changes

Sprite Dust still summons Sprites you have already unlocked, and Gizmos are still the consumables that help you find and extract them. Both balances were reset at the end of Season 3, so everyone started Override from zero.

Season 4 made the economy noticeably kinder:

Mastered Sprites cost half as much Dust to resummon, added on September 3. This is the change that most rewards finishing a Sprite rather than collecting broadly.
A Mastery reward track was added in the same update, paying out Gizmos and rewards as you master Sprites. v42.20 added the Pixel Polli Outfit to it, with a pixelated style for mastering 70 Sprites.

Ten Lobby Hack codes hand out 32,000 Sprite Dust between them: BlinkyInkyPinkyClyde, DustInTheWind, WhereIsTheDustyTree and YourThoughtsAreMine give 5,000 each, and Magilume, Chispambo, Perlimpinpin, Abgestaubt, H0p0nVC and PlayToLevelUp give 2,000 each.

The Sprite Garden

The Sprite Garden is the new home for your collection: a personal island where you can play with your Sprites, visit friends' gardens, and display everything you own. It was built with the creator teams Fairview Portals and Beyond Creative.

It is also where your Season 3 Sprites went.

What happened to your Season 3 Sprites

Your Season 3 collection was not deleted, but it is no longer playable in matches. Those Sprites now:

Stay on your Sprite Collection page alongside the new generation.
Appear as styles on the Sprite Mastery Pod Back Bling, for Sprites you extracted at Level 5.
Work as pilots in the Guardian Outfit, if you owned the Chapter 7 Season 3 Battle Pass.
Are displayed in the Sprite Garden.

Epic has said Sprites from past generations may return later, so the door is open for the Season 3 roster to become playable again. Nothing has been dated.

Survive to extraction to keep one permanently, then spend Sprite Dust to resummon anything you have already unlocked.

How many Fortnite Sprites can you unlock right now? What new Fortnite Sprites were added on September 24? Morgana and 17 Bounty Hunter finishes became obtainable. Morgana is an Epic Sprite that makes healing items more effective, with the bonus increasing at every level. Bounty Hunter Sprites can appear after eliminations and usually gain Sprite XP only from eliminations. With Bounty Hunter Crown already live, there are now 19 obtainable Bounty Hunter finishes.

What new Fortnite Sprites were added in the September 17 update? Three, in v42.20: Blinky and Crash Bandicoot, both Legendary, and Pond, an Epic Design-A-Sprite winner. Each came with Gold, Cheat Master, and Loot Hacker finishes and was obtainable immediately.

What do the Blinky, Crash Bandicoot, and Pond Sprites do? Blinky cloaks you for a short time when you take damage, making you harder to spot. Crash Bandicoot performs a spin attack while you are midair, damaging and knocking back nearby opponents. Pond launches a Super Jump if you jump shortly after landing, higher and more often with each Sprite Level.

What new Fortnite Sprites were added in the September 3 update? Four, in v42.10: X-Ray, Onigiri, Overshield, and Mega Man. X-Ray and Onigiri are the first two Design-A-Sprite community winners, X-Ray from a concept by Brady, an eight year old player who based it on the glasses he has worn since eye surgery at five.

What do the Onigiri, X-Ray, Mega Man, and Overshield Sprites do? X-Ray is the Legendary of the four and periodically marks enemies around you, more often and across a wider radius as it levels. Onigiri applies Overdrive whenever you eat or drink a consumable, so every Mini becomes a rotation window. Overshield grants Overshield on top of your health and shields. Mega Man cuts sliding friction so you slide farther. The last three are all Rare.

How do Cheat Code Chests work in Fortnite? A Cheat Code Injector shows a sequence of arrows, and you enter it with directional movement — forward is up, backward is down. Get it right and the chest gives a guaranteed Sprite. Since September 17 blue and purple codes can give any rarity, purple codes have much better variant odds, and gold codes guarantee a variant. Equip any Cheat Master finish and you skip the sequence entirely, spamming any button instead.

What are all the Fortnite Lobby Hack codes and rewards? There are 37 codes as of September 17, redeemed from the Admin Panel in the lobby. What do the different Sprite variants do? Four finishes sit on top of a Sprite's Base appearance. Gold gives 3x bonus XP from eliminations and only becomes available during Power Hours. Cheat Master lets you skip the Cheat Code arrow sequence, and five are free from Lobby Hack codes. Loot Hacker increases the chance of spawning items from your Loot Hacks. Bounty Hunter Sprites can appear when you eliminate opponents and gain Sprite XP only from eliminations unless the Sprite has its own special XP rules. All four finishes are obtainable now for every current Sprite that has them.

How to unlock all Loot Hacker Sprite variants in Fortnite? There are nineteen obtainable Loot Hacker finishes, one for every currently released Sprite except Mega Man. Morgana became the nineteenth when it released on September 24. They drop from Cheat Code Chests, ordinary chests, and eliminations, and a gold Cheat Code guarantees a variant. You can also master each earlier finish in order, Base then Cheat Master then Gold. Loot Hacker Crown works only that way: win once with each Crown finish equipped, four wins in total.

What are the Sprite summon rates and drop chances? Epic has not published a drop rate table for Season 4 and the trackers are still measuring, so anyone showing you exact percentages is guessing. What is confirmed is the structure: Cheat Code Chests always give a Sprite where ordinary chests only sometimes do, blue and purple codes can give any rarity, purple codes have better variant odds, and gold codes guarantee a variant. Klombo and Crown, the two Mythics, sit outside those tiers entirely.

What is the best Sprite in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4? Sonic for general play, since extra sprint speed helps in every situation and it is free from a code. Shadow is our pick for long fights, Jackrabbit for movement, X-Ray for squads, Blinky for escapes, and Crash Bandicoot for close range. Can you still use Chapter 7 Season 3 Sprites in Season 4? No. They stay in your collection but are no longer equippable in matches. They became styles on the Sprite Mastery Pod Back Bling for any you extracted at Level 5, pilots in the Guardian Outfit if you owned the Season 3 Battle Pass, and residents of the Sprite Garden. Epic has said past generations may return, but nothing is dated.

Does Sprite Dust carry over between seasons? No. Sprite Dust and Gizmos both reset when Season 3 ended, so everyone started Override at zero. Ten Lobby Hack codes give 32,000 Dust between them, which is the fastest way back up. Mastering a Sprite now halves the Dust cost to resummon it.

What are Sprite Power Hours, and when do they happen? Recurring weekend windows where rare Sprite chances go up and Gold finishes become obtainable. The first ran Saturday August 22, 2pm to 4pm ET and again 9pm to 11pm ET, and they have continued weekly since — the August 29 Sonic Power Hours are when Storm Scout launched. Epic announces each window in game rather than on a published schedule.
