Restoration Druid Guide — WoW Midnight Season 1
Resto Druid is S-tier healing in WoW Midnight Season 1. Guide to HoT blanketing, the Convoke + Flourish burst combo, and Keeper of the Grove Hero Talent.
Healer Guide · WoW Midnight Season 1
Restoration Druid is the strongest HoT healer in Midnight Season 1 and consistently an S-tier pick for both raid progression and Mythic+ pushing. Rejuvenation blanketing + Wild Growth + Efflorescence creates a healing floor that no other healer matches, while Convoke the Spirits and Flourish cover burst windows. The Keeper of the Grove Hero Talent added a powerful proc-chain rotation that makes Resto feel more active than prior expansions.
Why Resto Druid Sits in S-Tier for Healers
Restoration Druid is the strongest HoT healer in WoW Midnight Season 1 and consistently S-tier for both raid progression and Mythic+ pushing. Rejuvenation blanketing plus Wild Growth and Efflorescence creates a healing floor no other spec matches, while Convoke the Spirits + Flourish covers burst windows. The Keeper of the Grove Hero Talent is the default pick for M+ and raid, with Wildstalker as the specialty for stacked-raid-damage fights.
Strengths
✓ The strongest HoT floor in the game — Rejuvenation blanket + Wild Growth
✓ Efflorescence is a powerful ground-target AoE heal for stacked groups
✓ Major burst through Flourish + Convoke the Spirits alignment
✓ Strong raid utility — Innervate, Stampeding Roar, Ursol's Vortex
✓ Excellent movement — Dash + shapeshift + Wild Charge
✓ Efflorescence is a powerful ground-target AoE heal for stacked groups
✓ Major burst through Flourish + Convoke the Spirits alignment
✓ Strong raid utility — Innervate, Stampeding Roar, Ursol's Vortex
✓ Excellent movement — Dash + shapeshift + Wild Charge
Weaknesses
✗ Weak spot-heal burst — can't single-target-save like Disc or Holy Pally
✗ Ramp time is long — if you start cold, your HoTs don't tick in time
✗ Mana-hungry on long fights without Innervate coordination
✗ Cleave damage is minimal — raid DPS meter contribution is low
✗ Dispel toolkit is single-school (Magic/Curse/Poison only — no Disease)

What Are Restoration Druid's Core Abilities?
HOT · PRIMARY FILLER
Your foundation HoT. Maintain on 3-5 allies at all times. Blanket rejuvenation is Resto's damage intake signature.
HOT + DIRECT HEAL
Instant-cast when Clearcasting procs. Otherwise a long-cast direct heal. The primary triage tool for a sudden HP drop.
SINGLE-TARGET HOT
3-charge single-target HoT. Maintain on the tank (and a second Lifebloom on a second target via talent). Refreshes on damage dealt.
AOE BURST HOT
Group 8-second HoT on up to 6 allies. Cast on any incoming raid-wide damage window. Primary raid-healing button.
INSTANT HEAL · PROC
Instant-cast single-target heal that consumes a Rejuvenation (or Wild Growth tick). Your primary oh-shit button and spot healer.
GROUND AOE HEAL
Ground-target circle that heals 3 lowest-HP allies standing in it. Drop on the melee camp and reposition as fights move.
MAJOR CD · HOT EXTEND
Extends all your HoTs by 8 seconds AND makes them tick twice as fast for the duration. A major healing burst every 90 seconds.
RAID HEAL ULT
Massive raid heal over 8 seconds. 3-minute CD. Use on raid-wipe-prevention moments.
What Is the Resto Druid Healing Priority?
The priority table below is the steady-state raid healing rotation. For tank focus, move Lifebloom + Ironbark to priority 1.
The rule that separates average Resto from great Resto: Blanket Rejuvenation before incoming raid damage, not after. If you're casting Rejuv reactively on a damaged ally, you've already lost ticks. Pre-ramp 10-12 seconds before boss cast-bars activate.
How Should Resto Druid Align Major Cooldowns?
The Convoke + Flourish combo: Cast Flourish FIRST to extend all your HoTs by 8s and double their tick rate. Then Convoke the Spirits adds 16 random spells — most of which are healing. Then pre-blanket Rejuvenation across the raid. The 12-second window after this combo is the most healing output in the game.
Which Hero Talent Should Resto Druid Pick?
Keeper of the Grove
DEFAULT · M+ / RAID
Built around Force of Nature treant spawns that heal + deal damage on procs from your major heals. Strong at all content — the default pick for both M+ and raid unless the fight specifically rewards Wildstalker.
Wildstalker
SPECIALTY · STACKED RAID
Built around Thriving Growth bloom procs and Implant. Strongest on fights with constant stacked-damage pressure where Rejuvenation uptime is naturally high.
The quick pick: Keeper of the Grove is the default choice — it's slightly stronger at most raid encounters and in M+. Wildstalker is the specialty pick for fights with constant stacked raid damage where Thriving Growth procs line up consistently.
What Utility Does Resto Druid Bring to a Group?
Mana gift — grants an ally mana-free casting for 10s. Assign to your co-healer or a caster DPS.
Group speed boost on 2-minute CD. The raid's movement cooldown — call it on positioning mechanics.
Ground AoE that pulls enemies to the center. Niche mob-grouping utility in M+.
External 20% DR for 12s. Top-tier tank cooldown — rotate with your co-healer's externals.
Dispel — removes Magic, Curse, and Poison. No Disease dispel (Resto's only dispel-school gap).
Single-target CC on everything. Your M+ CC contribution — assign in pull planning.
Feral form mobility: Don't forget cat form + Dash for emergency repositioning, and Stampeding Roar while in ANY form for raid group mobility. Shapeshifting breaks roots and snares — Druid's out-of-combat response is the best of any healer.
