WoW Midnight Hotfixes Oct 15 to 21: Kinduru Exit, Jan'alai Tear Stacks, Mistcrests and Conquest Uncapped

Blizzard's October 15 to 21 Midnight hotfixes uncap Mistcrests and Conquest, add the Spoils of War PvP buff, let you leave the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan via Kinduru, raise Jan'alai Tear stacks to 4, extend the Fabled Kindo'jan solo, and add a safe-zone ring to Murder in a Row.

Quick Answer · WoW Midnight Hotfixes · Oct 15 to 21
• Source: Blizzard's living hotfix post, last updated October 21, 2026, for World of Warcraft: Midnight.
• Oct 21 Labyrinth: Talk to Kinduru in De Empire's Rest to leave during Kindo'jan; Jan'alai Tear now stacks to 4 (was 1); A Golden Opportunity lever usable at level 80+; L00T RAID-R Minis work in groups; Returning the Bounty Pit Boss no longer despawns.
• Oct 20 caps: Mistcrests, Conquest and Bloody Tokens are uncapped; Spoils of War gives +50% Conquest and +40% Honor in BGs and Arenas; Venomous Equipment Chest sold by Irissa Bloodstar.
• Achievement: Fabled: Let Me Solo Him: Kindo'jan extended until weekly maintenance the week of October 27.
• Oct 16: Murder in a Row barrels now show a safe-zone radius; Valeera Stagger fixed with healers; group scaling bug fixed; forgotten mount and toy claimable from Kinduru.
• Items and PvP: Gebbo's Bottomless Bag no longer breaks stealth; Jan'thrazet procs reliably for healers; Holy Priest Sanctified Ground no longer interrupts Divine Hymn.

World of Warcraft: Midnight has had a busy week of quiet fixes. Blizzard keeps one living hotfix list for the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan update, and the latest version is Hotfixes: October 21, 2026. Since our last roundup, that post has grown by four new dates: October 15, October 16, October 20 and October 21. Some of those lines are tiny visual tweaks, but a few of them change how you should plan your week, especially if you farm the Labyrinth, push Conquest or are still chasing the Fabled solo achievement.

This guide covers only those four dates. If you missed the earlier rounds, our October 13 dungeon nerfs guide covers the big Season 2 tuning pass, and the October 14 hotfix guide covers Dundun's return and the Ancient Hash'ey item level bump. For the bigger picture of the patch, keep the Midnight 12.1.5 launch guide handy.

Everything below is quoted or paraphrased from Blizzard's own notes. Where I am adding my read on what a change means for your routine, I say so plainly.

The Short Version

If you only have a minute before raid night, here is what actually matters from this batch:

  • Mistcrests are uncapped. If you were sitting at the weekly cap and waiting for the reset, you can keep farming now.
  • Conquest and Bloody Tokens are uncapped, and the Spoils of War buff is live for PvP catch-up.
  • The Labyrinth of Kindo'jan got an exit. You can now leave mid-scenario by talking to Kinduru.
  • Jan'alai Tears stack to 4. Carrying more than one at a time was the most common complaint about that scenario.
  • The Fabled Kindo'jan solo achievement stays open longer, until weekly maintenance during the week of October 27.
  • Murder in a Row barrels now show their safe radius, which should end a lot of wipes that felt like bugs.
The rest of this post goes system by system so you can find the part that affects your character.

October 21: Labyrinth of Kindo'jan Changes

The October 21 entry is mostly quality of life for the Labyrinth, and every line in it addresses something players had been posting about all week.

You can finally leave the Labyrinth mid-run

Blizzard's note reads: players can now speak to Kinduru in De Empire's Rest antechamber to leave the labyrinth while on the Kindo'jan scenario. Before this, getting stuck in a bad run usually meant hearthing out or waiting for the scenario to fail, which is not great when your group falls apart or you need to go to bed.

My read: this matters most for people who queue with friends who have different schedules. If half the group needs to drop, you now have a clean way out instead of a messy one. It is also useful if you just want to check something in town and come back with a better plan.

Jan'alai Tear stacks raised to 4

Players can now hold up to 4 stacks of the Carrying a Jan'alai Tear buff at a time, up from 1. Anyone who ran that portion of the Labyrinth knows how slow it was to carry one tear, drop it off, and walk back for the next. Being able to carry four should make that segment noticeably faster, especially solo.

A Golden Opportunity opens to level 80+

The lever that starts the "A Golden Opportunity" scenario can now be used by players level 80 and above. Blizzard did not spell out the old requirement in this line, but combined with the October 15 change below (treasure chests now lootable at level 80 instead of 90), it is clear the team is opening more of the Labyrinth to characters who are not yet at max level.

L00T RAID-R Minis work in groups

There was a fix on October 16 for L00T RAID-R Minis only working once per Labyrinth run. On October 21, Blizzard fixed a second problem where the Minis could not be used in a group at all inside the Labyrinth. If you play with a regular group, the gadget should now behave the same way it does solo.

Returning the Bounty should actually finish

The "Returning the Bounty" scenario has now appeared in three separate hotfix dates. On October 14, Blizzard fixed the starting bag interaction and Hording Looters not spawning. On October 16, it fixed the Pit Boss occasionally not spawning. On October 21, it fixed the Pit Boss despawning when it left combat, which prevented the scenario from completing. If this scenario kept breaking on you earlier in the week, it is worth trying again now.

October 21: Items and PvP Fixes

Three item fixes and one PvP fix landed on the same day.

  • Gebbo's Bottomless Bag: the Seriously Sharp Seashell effect could break stealth and invisibility. That is fixed. Rogues, Feral Druids and anyone using invisibility potions will appreciate this one, since an accidental stealth break in a delve or Mythic+ skip can end a run.
  • Jan'thrazet, the Soul Fang: this item could sometimes fail to trigger reliably from the start of combat for healers. Healers using it should now get consistent value from the pull instead of waiting for it to wake up.
  • Nebulous Voidcache bonus roll previews: the item list preview was not updating as you got items and they were removed from the pool. Blizzard is clear that this was display only and did not change what you could actually receive. So if you thought your bonus rolls were bugged, they were not; only the preview was.
  • Holy Priest, PvP: Sanctified Ground applying to allies could interrupt channeled spells such as Divine Hymn. That is fixed. If you are healing arenas or rated battlegrounds as Holy, your big channels should be safe from your own talent now.

October 20: Caps Lifted and PvP Catch-Up

October 20 is the date most players will feel, because it touches currencies and gearing.

Mistcrests are uncapped

Blizzard's note is short: Mistcrests are now uncapped. That means the weekly limit is gone, so you can keep upgrading gear as fast as you can earn crests. This is a big deal for alts and for anyone who started Season 2 late.

My read: if you were pacing upgrades around the cap, you no longer need to. It is a good week to push a few extra Mythic+ keys or delves on alts that were behind.

Conquest and Bloody Tokens are uncapped

On the PvP side, Conquest and Bloody Tokens are now uncapped as well. Combined with the buff below, this is a clear catch-up window for PvP gearing.

Spoils of War buff

The Spoils of War buff is now active. Blizzard lists the values as Conquest gains increased by 50% and Honor gains increased by 40% in Battlegrounds and Arenas. Blizzard did not say how long the buff will stay on, so I would treat it as a reason to play PvP sooner rather than later.

Venomous Equipment Chest

The Venomous Equipment Chest is now for sale at the conquest quartermaster, Irissa Bloodstar. The hotfix line does not list its price or contents, so check the vendor in game before you spend.

Change (Oct 20)What Blizzard saysWho should act

Other October 20 item fixes

A few smaller lines are worth knowing:

  • Ascendant Venomstones are now available after you finish the quest "Ascending with Venomstones."
  • Ancient Hash'ey Battle Art glove enchantments can now be applied to Warbound Until Equipped items. That is helpful if you are funneling gear to alts.
  • The Void Eruption effect on Kith'ix's armor pieces can no longer hit targets you are not in combat with. Before this, it could pull mobs you never meant to touch, which is a classic way to wipe a careful delve or skip.

Fabled achievement extended

The Fabled: Let Me Solo Him: Kindo'jan achievement can now be earned until weekly maintenance during the week of October 27. In the US, weekly maintenance usually happens on Tuesday morning, so in practice that means you have until the Tuesday, October 27 reset. Blizzard did not print an exact hour, so do not leave your last attempt for Monday night if you can help it.

October 20 Labyrinth and quest fixes

  • "Fools and Curses" could sometimes fail to complete. Fixed.
  • Spirit Conduit Loa powers could be used during Kindo'jan's fight. That is no longer possible. If your solo strategy relied on them, expect the fight to feel harder now.
  • The furbolgs needed for "Not Quite Nalorakk" have returned from hibernation, which is Blizzard's playful way of saying the quest is completable again.
  • Spending Nebulous Voidcores on non-raid sources now counts toward "A Nebulous Endeavour." If you already spent some and did not get credit, Blizzard says the objective will complete the next time you spend a Voidcore on any Season 2 bonus roll source.
  • The Skardyn Behemoth could become unattackable during "Draw Its Ire." Fixed.
  • The Voidstorm quest "To Be Changed" could not be completed. Fixed.

October 16: Murder Row, Coiled Altar and Delves

Murder in a Row now shows a safe zone

This is the fix I expect to hear the most about. Blizzard explains that it recently addressed a bug where Zaen Bladesorrow's Murder in a Row could assign a player's safe spot to a barrel they were not actually hiding behind. After that fix, players must stand closer to a barrel to be protected. To make the new rule clear, each barrel now shows a visual indicator of the safe radius.

My read: if your group started dying to Murder in a Row after the first fix and assumed it was a new bug, it was not. The safe zone simply got tighter. Now you can see it, so stand inside the ring and you should be fine.

Coiled Altar achievement

In The Venomous Abyss, the Coiled Altar achievement Watch Out Behind You could not be completed by raid groups larger than 20 players. That is fixed, so bigger Normal and Heroic groups can go for it again.

Labyrinth and Delves fixes from October 16

  • Valeera's Stagger did not work when a healer was in the delve or labyrinth. Fixed.
  • The Scar of Kathra'natir damage over time dealt more damage to Valeera than intended. Fixed.
  • A rare bug could drop players through the map in The Speaker's Chamber area of the Labyrinth. Fixed.
  • If you forgot to loot the Loa-Blessed Wayfarer mount and Loa-Blessed Victory toy from the Ancestral Bounty chest before leaving, you can now get them by speaking with Kinduru after completing the labyrinth. This is a big relief for anyone who rushed out after a long run.
  • Some creatures and bosses scaled their health and damage higher than intended in groups. Fixed. Group runs should feel a little smoother.
  • Sha'kuro's Soul Storm could be interrupted before all Unfortunate Souls were defeated, which cost you the damage window from the stun. Fixed.
  • L00T RAID-R Mini could only be used once per Labyrinth run. Fixed (and the group version was fixed on October 21).

October 15: Treasure Level Requirement and Mount Journal

The October 15 entry is short but useful:

  • Faction-specific mounts were hidden from the Mount Journal on characters of the opposite faction. Fixed. If your collection looked smaller on an alt, that is why.
  • Sullied Revenant and Sha'kuro health did not reset properly after a failed attempt. Fixed.
  • Impressive Treasure Chest, Impressive Treasure Pile and Impressive Treasure Trove now need level 80 to loot, down from 90.
  • Scenario bosses now give credit properly if you defeat them a second time in the same run.
  • Battle for Azeroth quests should no longer appear in the quest logs of characters who never did them, outside BfA content.
  • Quest NPCs for "De Legend of de Hash'ey" in Zul'Aman are back so you can turn it in.

What I Would Do This Week

Putting it all together, here is how I would plan the next few days on a typical main plus one or two alts. This is my opinion, not Blizzard's advice.

  • Farm Mistcrests without guilt. With the cap gone, alts that were stuck behind it can catch up quickly. Mythic+ and delves are the obvious places to start.
  • Queue PvP while Spoils of War is up. Blizzard did not give an end date, and uncapped Conquest plus a 50% boost is about as good as catch-up gets.
  • Retry broken Labyrinth scenarios. Returning the Bounty, Fools and Curses and A Golden Opportunity all had fixes. If one of them failed on you earlier, it is worth another try.
  • Finish the Fabled solo before October 27. Remember that Spirit Conduit Loa powers no longer work in the Kindo'jan fight, so test your setup early.
  • Claim any missed mount or toy from Kinduru. It costs nothing and you might have something waiting.
  • Relearn Murder in a Row. Stand inside the barrel ring. It sounds obvious, but the old loose positioning will now get you killed.
If you are short on time and would rather spend your evenings raiding than grinding currencies, AccountShark's WoW boosting can help with gear and progress, but none of the fixes above need outside help. They mostly make the game less frustrating.

Classic Versions

Blizzard's hotfix post also covers Mists of Pandaria Classic, Season of Discovery, Burning Crusade Classic, Classic Era and Hardcore. In the October 15 to 21 entries I read, every listed change was for Midnight. If a Classic hotfix appears later in the week, Blizzard will add it to the same living post.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I leave the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan mid-scenario?

Talk to Kinduru in the De Empire's Rest antechamber while you are on the Kindo'jan scenario. Blizzard added this option in the October 21, 2026 hotfixes so players have a clean way out without failing the run or hearthing.

How many Jan'alai Tears can I carry now?

You can hold up to four stacks of the Carrying a Jan'alai Tear buff at once. Before the October 21 hotfix, the limit was one, which meant a lot of extra walking back and forth.

Are Mistcrests uncapped in WoW Midnight?

Yes. Blizzard's October 20, 2026 hotfix notes say Mistcrests are now uncapped. You can keep earning them past the old weekly limit and use them on upgrades right away.

What does the Spoils of War buff do?

Spoils of War increases Conquest gains by 50% and Honor gains by 40% in Battlegrounds and Arenas. Blizzard turned it on in the October 20 hotfixes alongside uncapping Conquest and Bloody Tokens, and it has not announced an end date.

When does the Fabled: Let Me Solo Him: Kindo'jan achievement end?

Blizzard extended it until weekly maintenance during the week of October 27, 2026. In the US that is normally Tuesday morning, October 27, but Blizzard did not publish an exact hour, so finish it before then if you can.

I forgot to loot the Loa-Blessed Wayfarer mount. Can I still get it?

Yes. Since the October 16 hotfix, the Loa-Blessed Wayfarer mount and Loa-Blessed Victory toy are granted when you speak with Kinduru after completing the labyrinth, if you left them in the Ancestral Bounty chest.

Why do I keep dying to Murder in a Row even when I hide behind a barrel?

An earlier fix made the safe zone tighter, so you now have to stand closer to a barrel to be protected. On October 16 Blizzard added a visible radius around each barrel during Murder in a Row. Stand inside that ring.

Did the Nebulous Voidcache bonus roll bug change my loot?

No. Blizzard says the October 21 fix was for a display issue only. The preview list was not updating, but it never affected which items your character could actually get.

Can Spirit Conduit Loa powers still be used against Kindo'jan?

No. The October 20 hotfix stopped Spirit Conduit Loa powers from working during Kindo'jan's fight. If your solo strategy depended on them, you will need to adjust.

What level do I need to loot Impressive Treasure chests in the Labyrinth?

Level 80. The October 15 hotfix lowered the requirement for Impressive Treasure Chest, Impressive Treasure Pile and Impressive Treasure Trove from level 90 to level 80.
