OSRS The Graveyard Guide: Master Quest Sequel, Hybrid Agility Course, Marks of Grace & Graceful Rework (2026)

Jagex just put numbers next to the spookiest Agility unlock on the 2026 calendar. The Graveyard is the Master-level Fremennik sequel that continues Olaf’s Quest, and the headline reward is not another lamp bundle. Complete the quest and you unlock a hybrid Agility course aimed squarely at the 65–80 band: part classic rooftop rhythm, part AFK ledge, part tick-perfect stepping stones if you want the top end.
This guide sticks to the official Graveyard rewards blog from September 14, 2026. Exact course layout and obstacle list stay unspoiled on purpose. What we do have is Mod Husky’s hybrid pitch, XP and Marks bands, the Giant Squirrel angle, a polled Fremennik Graceful ornament kit, a proposed Graceful system rework, and a pair of purely cosmetic Sailing sails that live somewhere on the island rather than on the course itself.
If you are still finishing other recent members bits while you wait for November, our short OSRS Crab Quest guide and A Ruff Situation dogs quest guide cover the September Sailing-adjacent releases.
What is The Graveyard in OSRS?
The Graveyard is a new Master-level quest. Jagex positions it as the story continuation of Olaf’s Quest and the wider Fremennik line, with a November 2026 launch target. The rewards blog deliberately skips quest spoilers. Dust off Ulfric’s parchment if you like the framing, then treat this article as a rewards and training readout rather than a walkthrough.
The main progressional unlock is the Agility course. That matters because the mid-to-high Agility ladder has long been a choice between chill rooftops, bespoke courses like Brimhaven or Wyrm, and the leaned-in Hallowed Sepulchre once you can boost into it. The Graveyard course is aimed at players who are past the early rooftops but not yet living in Sepulchre Floors for every session.
When does The Graveyard launch?
Jagex’s September 14, 2026 rewards blog targets November 2026. That is a launch window, not a dated hotfix hour. Expect a poll for the described rewards later in the week of that blog, pending community feedback. Until the poll passes and the update ships, treat every rate and kit below as design intent rather than live Wiki gospel.
What Agility level do you need for The Graveyard course?
The course is aimed at players between 65 and 80 Agility, and it unlocks after you complete The Graveyard. That band is the whole point of the hybrid design: enough skill to make rooftop-style obstacles feel natural, without assuming you already farm Floor 4 of the Sepulchre every night.
If you are sitting under 65, keep grinding your current rooftop or training method and plan the quest for when the unlock actually matters. If you are already past 80 and only care about Marks or the squirrel, the high-intensity Marks pitch is still worth watching once rates are live, but the blog’s progressive unlock language is clearly written for the 65–80 journey.
What is the Graveyard Agility course setting?
Jagex describes a dark underwater cavern littered with the remains of ships that never made it out. You dodge debris, leap half-sunken wreckage, and try to stay above the waterline. That is the vibe dump. The exact layout and specific mechanics are not fully revealed, and this guide will not invent a lap path, obstacle names, or fail tiles.
Keeping the surprise intact is not just flavour. Hybrid courses live or die on how the choice obstacles feel in the hand, and Mod Husky is still testing which intense options stick. Speculating a fake lap time helps nobody when November arrives with a different click pattern.
How does the hybrid Agility design work?
Mod Husky frames Agility as a three-way split today: mostly laid-back rooftops at every level, Sepulchre for players who want to lean in from level 77 with a boost, and a handful of unique courses for variety. The Graveyard tries a hybrid instead.
Roughly two thirds of the course uses traditional rooftop-style obstacles. The remaining about one third offers a choice at key moments:
- AFK / slow path: one click, then come back in roughly 20–30 seconds. Lower XP for that segment, but you can answer a message, stretch, or treat it as second-monitor content.
- Intense path: keep moving with tick-perfect play. Stepping stones in the Yama vein are the clearest example, including identifying the correct stones while holding a one-tick rhythm. Inspiration from Mod Rice’s Vampyrium skilling also shows up as possible double or triple clicks in one tick on specific timings.
What XP and Marks of Grace rates should you expect?
Because the course is hybrid, Jagex published two intensity bands rather than a single rooftop-style figure.
| Intensity | Agility XP/hr | Marks of Grace/hr | Blog framing |
|---|---|---|---|
| High | ~65,000–75,000 | 30+ | Around Ardougne rooftop; just below Sepulchre Floor 4; aimed best Marks source in the game |
| Low | ~55,000–60,000 | ~14–15 | Ahead of Seers’ Village; Marks broadly in line with existing rooftops |
High intensity is the headline for sweaty trainers and Marks farmers. Efficient play is expected to land around Ardougne Rooftop Course rates and just below Hallowed Sepulchre Floor 4. The Marks target is the bigger story: 30+ Marks of Grace per hour, with Jagex stating the aim is to make The Graveyard the best Marks of Grace source in the game.
Low intensity still looks competitive for the level band. About 55k–60k XP per hour should sit comfortably ahead of Seers’ Village while leaving higher-level methods relevant. Marks at roughly 14–15 per hour keep the chill path honest without pretending it matches the intense route.
Exact live rates will depend on how the final mechanics feel. Bookmark the bands, then recheck after the November ship and the first community spreadsheets.
Is The Graveyard good for the Giant Squirrel pet?
Yes, that is the stated intent. Jagex wants The Graveyard to be a competitive alternative to the Penguin Agility Course for Giant Squirrel hunting. Penguin Agility is currently called out as the most efficient place to earn the pet, so “competitive alternative” is strong language for pet hunters who are tired of the same lap.
Squirrels in a dark underwater cavern is peak Old School humour. Treat it as a second reason to unlock the course even if your Marks stack is already healthy.
What is the Fremennik Graceful Ornament Kit?
This is a FashionScape reward, not an XP boost. The Fremennik Graceful Ornament Kit is a rugged take on Graceful, drawing on Fremennik styles and culture. You earn it as a rare drop from a picklockable chest just before the final obstacle. Picklocking that chest requires 65 Thieving.
Fail the picklock and you still get something useful: Sunken treasure, a stackable item you can turn in to an NPC in Rellekka for Marks of Grace. That softens the miss and keeps failed chest clicks inside the Marks economy.
Important: adding the kit as described is a poll question, not a confirmed live drop yet. Vote when the poll opens if you care about the cosmetic.
What is the proposed Graceful system rework?
This section is a proposal. Nothing here is live until it polls through and ships.
Today you buy Graceful piece by piece with Marks of Grace. A full set costs 260 Marks. Need another hood for a second style, an ironman rebuild, or a friend who “borrowed” your boots forever? You spend Marks again. With The Graveyard lined up to become the best Marks source, plus a new ornament kit in the mix, Jagex thinks that friction is overdue for a fix.
Proposed one-time unlock rules
- Each Graceful piece becomes a one-time unlock on the account once you spend the Marks for it.
- Duplicates come from Perdu for GP only (Perdu is the preferred reclaim NPC for now; Jagex is open to feedback on that).
- Proposed Perdu GP prices:
- Jagex will refund Marks for duplicate Graceful pieces you currently have stored on the character. Deleted duplicates are not tracked retroactively, so there is no ghost refund for sets you already destroyed.
- After the rework, you cannot sell Graceful back to Grace for a Marks refund.
What other cosmetic rewards are polled with The Graveyard?
These are not Agility course rewards. Jagex wants a couple of island cosmetics for players who want a spooky or Fremennik ship look. Locations and acquisition methods stay unspoiled. Both are purely cosmetic and grant no Sailing benefits.
- Ghostly Sails: Graveyard-inspired spooky sails. Polled separately as described in the blog.
- Fremennik Sails: meant to vibe with the Fremennik Graceful look. Design is open to suggestions if the poll passes.
How should you prepare before November 2026?
You do not need a perfect pre-quest checklist from a rewards blog that withholds quest steps, but a few practical prep moves are obvious from what Jagex did publish:
- Push Agility toward 65+ so the unlock is usable on day one.
- Bring 65 Thieving if you care about the ornament chest on every lap.
- Bank time on Fremennik quest progress so Olaf’s Quest and friends are not blocking the Master sequel when it lands.
- Decide whether you are a Marks farmer, a squirrel hunter, an AFK trainer, or a tick warrior. The hybrid course is built so those answers can differ on the same account across different sessions.
- Watch the poll later in the week of the September 14 blog. Ornament kit, Graceful rework, Ghostly Sails, and Fremennik Sails all need votes.
Why does this matter for Marks of Grace and FashionScape?
Marks of Grace have always been the soft gate in front of Graceful and a pile of related cosmetics. If The Graveyard really does hit 30+ Marks per hour at the top end, the bottleneck shifts from “where do I even get Marks” to “what am I spending them on once Graceful is unlocked.” That is exactly why the Graceful rework proposal shows up in the same blog as the course.
Rooftop farmers who hate Sepulchre intensity finally get a mid-level course that respects both AFK and sweat. Pet hunters get a second efficient squirrel lane. FashionScape players get a Fremennik kit proposal plus sail cosmetics on the island. Quest enjoyers get another Master Fremennik chapter. Rarely does one rewards blog feed that many lanes at once without spoiling the maze itself.
Frequently Asked Questions
When does OSRS The Graveyard quest launch in 2026?
Jagex’s September 14, 2026 rewards blog targets a November 2026 launch for The Graveyard. That is the stated window, not a minute-precise patch time. Watch the official news feed for the dated release blog once the poll finishes and the build is ready.
What Agility level is The Graveyard Agility course for?
The course is aimed at players with 65–80 Agility and unlocks after you complete The Graveyard quest. It is framed as a progressional unlock for that band rather than a replacement for every endgame Agility method.
Is The Graveyard the best Marks of Grace source in OSRS?
That is Jagex’s aim for the high-intensity route. The rewards blog quotes 30+ Marks of Grace per hour at the top end and explicitly says they want The Graveyard to become the best Marks source in the game. Until the course is live and measured, treat that as design intent backed by published target rates.
How much Agility XP per hour is The Graveyard course?
High intensity is projected at about 65,000–75,000 Agility XP per hour, around Ardougne rooftop and just below Hallowed Sepulchre Floor 4. Low intensity is about 55,000–60,000 XP per hour, ahead of Seers’ Village. Final live rates depend on how the hybrid mechanics settle after testing.
Can you AFK The Graveyard Agility course on mobile?
Part of the course is designed for it. About one third of the obstacles offer an AFK or slow option where you click once and return in roughly 20–30 seconds, with timing meant to stay consistent for mobile and second-monitor play. The rest still uses traditional rooftop-style obstacles, and the intense alternatives are the opposite of AFK.
How do you get the Fremennik Graceful Ornament Kit from The Graveyard?
As proposed, it is a rare drop from a picklockable chest just before the final obstacle and requires 65 Thieving. Failed picklocks yield stackable Sunken treasure that turns into Marks of Grace via an NPC in Rellekka. Adding the kit as described is a poll question.
Is the Graceful outfit rework live in OSRS yet?
No. The one-time unlock model, Perdu GP reclaim prices totaling 430k for a full set, Marks refunds for stored duplicates, and the removal of selling Graceful back to Grace for Marks are all proposals pending a separate poll. Do not bank on them until they pass and ship.
Does The Graveyard drop Ghostly Sails on the Agility course?
No. Ghostly Sails and Fremennik Sails are described as island cosmetics elsewhere in the update, not as Agility course loot. Both are purely cosmetic for Sailing with no gameplay benefit, and both are polled separately. Acquisition details stay unspoiled on purpose.
Is The Graveyard better than Penguin Agility for the Giant Squirrel?
Jagex intends The Graveyard to be a competitive alternative to the Penguin Agility Course for Giant Squirrel hunting. Penguin is still called the most efficient place today in that same blog, so expect a real contest rather than an instant replacement until live drop rates are known.
Will The Graveyard Agility course layout be spoiled before launch?
Jagex is keeping the exact layout and specific mechanics under wraps so the surprise holds. Community creators may theorycraft from the hybrid description, but official sources are not publishing a full obstacle map in the rewards blog, and this guide follows that line.
