Source status (Sep 23, 2026 CT): Built from the Korean Inven dump of the Sep 23, 2026 Lost Ark update notes and Inven Global’s English summary Up to 200,000 Gold and a Relic Title. Exact Kazeros Extreme shop prices and Songpyeon Ember drop tables live in-client; this guide does not invent those numbers.

Kazeros Raid Act 3 Extreme is live after the September 23, 2026 maintenance window, and it is the limited-time remix of Act 3’s final gate rather than a brand-new raid. You are fighting Mordum, the Abyssal Punisher, across Normal, Hard, and Nightmare, with one shared Roster entry per week, Lightning Coin crafting, and a Nightmare first-clear package that includes the Lord of Thunder title plus a 200,000 Gold Bullion.

The same patch also opens Belgardin matchmaking for the Shadow Raid and starts the autumn Soft Bean Cake Harvest event. If you are still catching up from the September 16 systems pass, keep our /blog/lost-ark-dimensions-unbound-dimensionalist-t4-guide open for Jump-Up / Rapid Growth item-level context; this article stays on Extreme, Belgardin, and the harvest loop.

What is Lost Ark Act 3 Extreme?

Act 3 Extreme rebuilds the final gate of Kazeros Raid Act 3: Pitch-Black Night of the Storm. Smilegate framed Extreme as time-boxed content that reworks combat patterns and difficulty on that last gate rather than replacing the whole Act.

  • Act 3 Extreme window: after September 23, 2026 maintenance through before October 21, 2026 maintenance
  • Finale Extreme window: October 21, 2026 through before November 18, 2026 maintenance
  • Boss: Mordum (Abyssal Punisher)
  • Players: 8
  • Quest gate: complete Continuing Mission
  • Difficulties: Normal 1730, Hard 1770, Nightmare 1780
Treat Act 3 Extreme as a four-week sprint. Finale Extreme is the second chapter of the same Extreme season, and Nightmare clears on both Acts feed the longer Relic title achievement.

Entry rules, revives, and weekly lockouts

Extreme uses a Roster lockout, not a per-character free-for-all.

  • 1 entry per week per Roster, shared across Normal, Hard, and Nightmare
  • Clearing any difficulty consumes that week’s Roster entry
  • Normal and Hard allow unlimited revives
  • Nightmare allows no revives
That shared entry is the planning rule. If your roster has one character that can do Nightmare and several that sit at Normal, decide the week’s target before you queue. Burning the entry on a casual Normal clear locks the roster out of the Nightmare first-clear package until next week.

For practice nights, Normal and Hard are the forgiving lanes because deaths do not end the attempt. Nightmare is the prestige lane: same boss fantasy, no revive safety net, and the title / bullion package only on first clear.

Mordum clear rewards by difficulty

Kill rewards land when Mordum falls. Gold pays out even if the character is not gold-designated, which is the big Extreme exception versus standard raid gold rules.

  • Normal: 20,000 gold and 150 Lightning Coins
  • Hard: 50,000 gold and 200 Lightning Coins
  • Nightmare: 50,000 gold and 200 Lightning Coins
Hard and Nightmare share the same Mordum gold and coin payout. The Nightmare premium is the first-clear extras and the revive pressure, not a higher weekly gold line.

First clear on any difficulty

Regardless of which difficulty you clear first, the first Mordum kill on the roster awards:

  • Leap Legendary Card Select Pack III
  • Hero Gem Select Chest
  • Gem Recrafting Reset Ticket
  • 100 Lightning Coins
  • 1 Chaos Coin

Nightmare first-clear extras

Nightmare’s first clear adds:

  • Legendary title Lord of Thunder
  • Exclusive emote pack
  • 200,000 Gold Bullion
If your roster can hold Nightmare, that first clear is the week-one priority. The bullion and title do not repeat on later Nightmare clears; after the first clear you are farming coins, gold, and shop progress like everyone else.

Relic title path

Clearing Act 3 Extreme Nightmare and later Finale Extreme Nightmare unlocks a Relic-grade title achievement. The Relic title is the season-long badge; Act 3 Nightmare alone is not enough. Plan the October 21 Finale Extreme swap into that same achievement track.

Lightning Coins, Chaos Coins, and Extreme crafting

Lightning Coins from Mordum clears craft at the Kazeros Extreme NPC. Sources place that NPC in major cities and at Maharaka Summer Camp. Coins also stack from first-clear bonuses, so early weeks front-load shop currency if you land the first-clear packs.

Usable currency windows from the notes:

  • Lightning Coins, Light & Dark Coins, and Chaos Coins remain usable until before November 25, 2026 maintenance
  • Hell Key exchange remains available until before December 16, 2026 maintenance
The shop reservation that matters for completionists: the Ancient Core Select Chest only becomes craftable after you have cleared both Act 3 Extreme and Finale Extreme. Do not empty every coin into early shop filler if the Ancient Core chest is your target; leave room for the post-Finale crafts.

If you are short on weekly gold for honing or market buys while chasing Extreme, soft account support through reputable gold or boost services exists for Lost Ark players who want to stay in the ilvl band without burning the Roster lockout on failed learning weeks. Keep that optional; Extreme itself already pays gold without a gold-designation tax.

Belgardin matchmaking mode

The same update adds matchmaking to the Shadow Raid Belgardin, the Arbiter of Death. This is the casual fill lane for players who do not want to assemble a full eight every time.

  • Item level: 1750 (same floor as existing Normal Belgardin)
  • Quest: complete After the Echo Clears
  • Party sizes: solo queue, or form 2–7 and fill the rest; premade Party Finder groups can also match
  • Balance: combat scales with participant count
  • Rewards: same types and quantities as Normal Belgardin
  • Gold split: 50% regular gold and 50% bound gold
  • Bonus rewards per gate still apply
  • No loot auction
  • No Sidereal Energy
Belgardin matchmaking does not replace Extreme. It is a parallel weekly option for players who want Shadow Raid clears without the full organizing tax. Bound gold is the tradeoff for convenience; if you need unbound gold volume, Extreme’s Mordum payout (and its gold-regardless-of-designation rule) is the louder wallet lane during this window.

Soft Bean Cake Harvest event

Soft Bean Cake Harvest runs on the same calendar as Act 3 Extreme: September 23, 2026 through before October 21, 2026 maintenance.

Field loop: Soft Bean Cake Legion and Songpyeon Ember

During the event:

  • Soft Bean Cake Legion monsters appear in Chaos Rifts and on Kurzan Front
  • Defeating them can spawn a Songpyeon Ember
  • Interacting with the Ember grants one of several rewards (exact Ember table is in-client)
  • Consuming Rest Bonus raises Songpyeon Ember spawn rate
  • Standard Fate’s Embers continue to appear as usual
This is the daily busywork layer. If you already run Chaos Rifts or Kurzan Front for mats, the Soft Bean Cake Legion rides along. Spend Rest Bonus when you actually want Ember rolls rather than parking Rest forever.

Stamp book rewards

The stamp book is a login-style track:

  • 1 Songpyeon Stamp on weekdays
  • 2 Songpyeon Stamps on weekends
Milestone chests:
  • 5 stamps: Leap Legendary Card Pack III
  • 10 stamps: 2026 Chuseok Head Skin Chest
  • 15 stamps: Lion Dance Mount Select Chest
  • 20 stamps: Chuseok Mokoko Pet Select Chest
Unclaimed stamp-book rewards move to Universal Storage after the event ends. Log in enough weekend days and you can hit 20 without treating every weekday as mandatory, but skipping weekends slows the climb because those days are worth double.

How to plan the next four weeks

Act 3 Extreme, Belgardin matchmaking, and Soft Bean Cake Harvest share the September 23 to October 21 block. A practical roster plan looks like this:

  • Week 1: spend the Roster Extreme entry on the highest difficulty you can actually clear. Nightmare first if the group is ready; otherwise Hard or Normal for the shared first-clear pack, then climb later weeks.
  • Same week: queue Belgardin matchmaking on a 1750+ character if you still want Shadow Raid clears without organizing eight.
  • Daily: fold Soft Bean Cake Legion into Chaos Rifts / Kurzan Front, spend Rest Bonus when chasing Embers, and claim stamps.
  • Shop: bank Lightning and Chaos Coins toward the Extreme NPC; hold budget if Ancient Core Select Chest is the goal after Finale Extreme.
  • October 21: swap focus to Finale Extreme and keep Nightmare clears in mind for the Relic title achievement.
Characters still climbing through the Dimensions Unbound catch-up rails should not stall Jump-Up or Rapid Growth just to force an Extreme clear. Hit the ilvl gate honestly, then spend the weekly Extreme entry. The Dimensions Unbound guide linked above covers the 1660–1720 event tracks if that is still your bottleneck.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does Lost Ark Act 3 Extreme start and end?

Act 3 Extreme is live after the September 23, 2026 maintenance and runs until before the October 21, 2026 maintenance. Finale Extreme follows from October 21 through before November 18, 2026 maintenance.

What item levels do you need for Mordum Extreme?

Normal requires item level 1730, Hard 1770, and Nightmare 1780. You also need the quest Continuing Mission completed. The content is eight-player.

How many Extreme entries do you get each week?

One Roster entry per week, shared across Normal, Hard, and Nightmare. Clearing any difficulty spends that week’s entry for the whole roster.

Do Normal and Hard allow revives in Act 3 Extreme?

Yes. Normal and Hard allow unlimited revives. Nightmare does not allow revives.

How much gold does Mordum drop?

Mordum grants 20,000 gold on Normal and 50,000 gold on Hard and Nightmare, plus Lightning Coins. Gold awards even if the character is not designated for gold earning.

What is the Nightmare first-clear package?

Nightmare’s first clear awards the Legendary title Lord of Thunder, an exclusive emote pack, and a 200,000 Gold Bullion, on top of the shared any-difficulty first-clear pack (Leap Legendary Card Select Pack III, Hero Gem Select Chest, Gem Recrafting Reset Ticket, 100 Lightning Coins, and 1 Chaos Coin).

How do you unlock the Relic title from Extreme?

Clear Act 3 Extreme Nightmare and later Finale Extreme Nightmare. The Relic-grade title is an achievement reward for completing that Nightmare pair, not for Act 3 alone.

Where do Lightning Coins craft, and when do they expire?

Craft at the Kazeros Extreme NPC in cities or at Maharaka Summer Camp. Lightning, Light & Dark, and Chaos coins remain usable until before November 25, 2026 maintenance. Hell Key exchange lasts until before December 16, 2026 maintenance. Ancient Core Select Chest crafting requires both Extremes cleared.

What are the Belgardin matchmaking rules?

Belgardin matchmaking needs item level 1750 and the quest After the Echo Clears. You can enter solo or with 2–7 players and fill. Rewards match Normal quantities, but gold is half unbound and half bound, with no loot auction and no Sidereal Energy.

How long does Soft Bean Cake Harvest last, and what are the stamp rewards?

The harvest event runs September 23 through before October 21, 2026 maintenance. Soft Bean Cake Legion monsters in Chaos Rifts and Kurzan Front can spawn Songpyeon Embers, with Rest Bonus improving spawn rate. Stamps grant 1 on weekdays and 2 on weekends, unlocking Leap Legendary Card Pack III at 5, the 2026 Chuseok Head Skin Chest at 10, the Lion Dance Mount Select Chest at 15, and the Chuseok Mokoko Pet Select Chest at 20. Unclaimed stamp rewards go to Universal Storage after the event.

Final take

Act 3 Extreme is a four-week Mordum sprint with a shared Roster lockout, generous gold that ignores gold-designation, and a Nightmare first-clear jackpot of Lord of Thunder plus 200,000 Gold Bullion. Spend the weekly entry on the hardest clear your roster can finish, bank Lightning Coins toward the Extreme shop (and the post-Finale Ancient Core chest), and use Belgardin matchmaking when you want Shadow Raid clears without assembling eight. Soft Bean Cake Harvest is the parallel daily and stamp track through the same October 21 cutoff. When Finale Extreme opens, keep Nightmare clears on the calendar if the Relic title is part of your season goal.
