The Fortnite Final Spritemare starts today, Tuesday, October 27, 2026, and it is the last real chance to finish your Sprite collection before Chapter 7 Season 4 Override wraps up. Epic's Communities Team posted the schedule in The Final Spritemare Begins October 27, calling it "a five-day send-off" with "exotic loot pool shake-ups, Lucky Locators, rotating Sprite variant boosts, and double Sprite XP and Sprite Dust to master your collection." It runs through Saturday, October 31, and the season itself ends the next morning when the Treasure Hunters mini-season arrives with update v43.00.
This guide puts every daily boost in Central Time, explains how to squeeze five Lucky Locators out of the week, and covers what you should spend or finish before Sunday. If you need the bigger picture, our Fortnitemares 2026 guide, Chapter 7 Season 4 Sprites guide and v42.40 Loot Hacks and Sprites breakdown have the season background.
What Time Does the Final Spritemare Start Each Day?
Epic says the boosts run "every day starting at 9 AM ET | 1 PM UTC." The US is still on daylight saving time all week, so that is 8:00 AM CT every morning from Tuesday to Saturday. Each day's boost lasts until the next day's flips over at the same time.
- Tuesday, October 27: 8:00 AM CT
- Wednesday, October 28: 8:00 AM CT
- Thursday, October 29: 8:00 AM CT
- Friday, October 30: 8:00 AM CT
- Saturday, October 31: 8:00 AM CT, running into the end of the season
Final Spritemare Schedule Day by Day
Here is Epic's schedule exactly as posted, with the CT start time on each row.
Note the wording Epic uses for the weapons: each one is "hacked," "uploaded," "glitched," "loaded" or "breaks" into the loot pool. That means you find them in loot. Nobody spawns holding the day's exotic, so you still have to land somewhere with chests if you want it.
Tuesday: Cheat Master and Gold Sprites
Day one boosts two of the most useful variants. Cheat Master Sprites make your Cheat Code inputs come out right, which is a quiet but big deal in a season built around Override Consoles and codes. Gold Sprites are the flashy collectible variant most people are missing at least one of. The Overclocked 8-Bit Shotgun is in the pool all day, so expect close-range fights to get spicy around anything with a chest.
Wednesday: Loot Hacker Sprites
Loot Hacker Sprites tie into the Loot Hack board that has driven Override's economy. If you never got the Loot Hacker variant of your favorite Sprite, Wednesday is the day. The Overpowered Shotgun joins the pool, so Tuesday's shotgun meta probably continues with a different flavor.
Thursday: Bounty Hunter Sprites
Bounty Hunter Sprites get the spawn boost on Thursday. Bounty play rewards aggression, and the Balloon Popper Assault Rifle gives you a mid-range answer for once after two shotgun days. If you have been hunting Bounty Hunter variants since the early October Power Hours, this is the cleanest shot left.
Friday: Trick or Treat Sprites and Free Calaverita Cosmetics
Friday is the one day you should log in even if you do not plan to play. Epic's post says: "Log in to add Fortnite Calaverita Sprays and an Emoticon to your Locker." Those are free. No V-Bucks, no quest grind. Friday also boosts Trick or Treat Sprites and loads Frantic Rebecca's Guns into the loot pool.
Saturday: The Finale
Halloween is the big one. Epic guarantees Hunter Scavenger, Spooky Sprinter and Prop Hunt in Override Consoles, adds the Marker Bonerattler SMG, and spawns more Pumpkin Chests across the island. Pumpkin Chests have been a reliable Sprite source all Fortnitemares, and Epic's art for Saturday points to boosted variants across the board. If you are down to one or two missing variants, this is the day to hunt them.
Override Consoles change the rules for the whole lobby, not just you, so Saturday matches will feel chaotic. Prop Hunt in particular turns end games into hide-and-seek. Plan your Sprite runs early in the match before things get silly.
How to Get All Five Free Lucky Locators
Epic's line is short: "Complete the daily login Quest to earn a Lucky Locator." One per day, five days, five Locators. The quest is tied to each day, and Epic has not said missed days roll over, so play it safe and log in every day from Tuesday to Saturday.
What a Lucky Locator does, based on how it has worked all season:
- It is a Gizmo you use from the Gizmo Wheel during a match.
- It marks a buried Sprite Chest that holds a Sprite you have not discovered yet.
- You do not get to choose which missing Sprite comes out.
- Other players can see and reach that chest too, so pop it somewhere quiet or after the first wave of fights.
How to Use the Double Sprite XP Week
The 2x Sprite XP and 2x Sprite Dust apply to Sprites, not to your Battle Pass. Epic's post does not mention account XP, so do not expect your Battle Pass level to climb faster. Treat this as a Sprite mastery week and get your Battle Pass levels from quests and XP maps separately.
A few habits that pay off this week:
- Extract often. Every extraction banks Sprite XP and Dust, and both are doubled. Do not carry a full stack into the final circle.
- Keep a 1-Up Token. They can drop from chests all week. One bad fight should not cost you everything you are carrying.
- Use Portable Extractors instead of running across the map to bank your Sprites.
- Play real lobbies. Sprite XP from eliminations and actions is worth more against real players than in bot-filled matches, according to community testing across the season.
- Equip the Sprites you have not mastered yet. Mastery means leveling a Sprite to its cap and extracting it, so put your effort into the ones that still need it.
What Happens to Your Sprites When Override Ends?
Chapter 7 Season 4 ends on Sunday, November 1, 2026, which is the end date on Epic's Override Battle Pass page. Epic's Unreal Engine forum staff also referenced v43.00 as "November 1" in the v42.40 known issues thread, so the next update is locked to that day.
Epic has not announced what happens to Override's Sprites after the season. Here is what we can say:
- Precedent: when Season 3 ended in August, that season's Sprites moved out of Battle Royale matches into the Sprite Garden and Collection, and Epic said Gizmos and Sprite Dust would reset at season end.
- Sprites likely continue in some form. The Treasure Hunters teasers appear to show Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto as Sprites, which suggests the system sticks around for the mini-season, even if the specific Override roster changes.
- Collected Sprites stay in your Sprite Garden. You do not lose what you already caught.
Override Battle Pass: Finish Before November 1
Any Battle Pass levels you have not reached by the end of the season are gone. FRVR's season countdown coverage notes that unclaimed rewards on levels you did reach are granted automatically the next time you log in, so claiming is not the problem. Reaching the levels is.
If you are a few levels short, this week's checklist:
- Clear every remaining Fortnitemares and weekly quest in your Quests tab.
- Use XP-focused Creative maps if you need raw levels fast.
- Do not count on the Spritemare to help here, since the doubling is for Sprites only.
When Does the Treasure Hunters Season Start?
Epic teased the mini-season on October 24 with the caption "The greatest adventure of all! 11.1," and confirmed a One Piece collaboration hours later with a teaser of the Going Merry sailing out of the fog. Polygon's report on the One Piece reveal has the details. Treasure Hunters starts Sunday, November 1 with update v43.00.
Epic has not posted the downtime time yet. Two things to know:
- Daylight saving ends the same morning. Clocks fall back at 2 AM local on November 1, so any time in ET or CT shifts by an hour from what you are used to.
- Estimates vary. FRVR expects downtime around 2 AM ET, which would be about 1 AM CT after the clock change, with servers back a few hours later. Other outlets have pointed to later in the morning. Watch the official Fortnite Status account on Saturday night for the real time.
What Is Confirmed for Treasure Hunters
- The name and date: Treasure Hunters, November 1, v43.00.
- One Piece: confirmed by Epic's teaser with the Fortnite and One Piece logos together. No characters or release dates have been named.
- Rival pirate crews: the in-game teasers showed several crew logos, including Peely, A$AP Rocky, Lil Uzi Vert, and Hatsune Miku with Kasane Teto.
- It is a mini-season: expect it to be shorter than a full season, closing out Chapter 7 before Chapter 8. Epic has not posted an end date.
A Simple Plan for the Week
If you want the shortest path to a finished collection, this is how I would play it:
- Tuesday: log in for Locator one. Open your Collection, list every missing Sprite and variant. Hunt Gold and Cheat Master variants.
- Wednesday: Locator two. Focus Loot Hacker variants and spend some Dust on the Loot Hack board.
- Thursday: Locator three. Bounty Hunter variants, and use the Balloon Popper AR for mid-range fights near extractors.
- Friday: Locator four. Grab the free Calaverita cosmetics, then go after Trick or Treat variants.
- Saturday: Locator five. Use all saved Locators on your hardest gaps, farm Pumpkin Chests, and spend every last bit of Sprite Dust before bed.
