Arknights: Endfield version [Sanctuary of Ink] is live on October 15, 2026, and it is the same day Gryphline opened the game on Steam. If you already play on mobile, PlayStation 5, or the GRYPHLINK PC client, today is a reinstall day plus a content day. If you are starting on Steam, today is the first day you can link a Gryphline account and land on the same servers as everyone else. Either way, the patch is mandatory: after maintenance you re-download and reinstall the client before you can log in.
Maintenance windows and compensation
Gryphline published two maintenance blocks so Asia and Americas/Europe reopen on their own clocks.
Gryphline also notes that reopen can land earlier or later than the scheduled end. Check the live announcement if the client still shows maintenance.

Story, missions, and Si's Painting
Sanctuary of Ink unlocks content gradually as you explore. The headline story cap in the notes is main missions available up to Chapter II Process VIII: Paint with Fresh Ink. The new map region called out by name is Wuling - Si's Painting.

Two new 6★ operators and four new 6★ weapons headline the roster drop.
Si is the day-one rate-up. Argent Flow is the mid-version Chartered star. Jade Vessel and Lunar Calling are the matching Arsenal Issue rate-ups. Long Heritage and Complexed Industry exist in the new weapon list even when they are not the featured Issue weapons.

Practical pull advice: if you only care about Si, Rejuvenation is the window. If you want Argent Flow, hold resources past Nov 5. Tangtang sits in the middle as a RE-Factor banner, so treat it as a separate budget line instead of assuming it shares pity with Chartered banners. Always confirm pity and currency rules in-client.
Events worth farming first
Sanctuary of Ink stacks a lot of limited events. Here is the player-facing order most Endministrators will care about in the first two weeks.
Yuanyuan's Blazing Stoves
Visit Si's Painting in Wuling, manage Yuanyuan Manor Inn, clear Session Tasks, and raise Inn Milestones. Gryphline lists Oroberyl ×1000 and Mark of Perseverance among the rewards. After the event ends you lose Session Task rewards, but you can still play the inn and claim Inn Milestone Phase rewards. Content updates on Oct 22 at 04:00 server.
Spirit's Restoration and All the Inky Hues
Spirit's Restoration is the simple seven-day sign-in for five HH permits. All the Inky Hues is the guide event in Si's Painting for Oroberyl ×1200. Both close around Nov 5, so front-load them if your schedule is busy later in the month.
Contingency Contract: Indigo Experimental Operation
From Nov 5 you pick Test Criteria combinations, clear missions, and spend Vitrified Indigo in the Secret Sanctuary. The shop ceiling Gryphline highlights includes Oroberyl ×2000, portrait and sticker cosmetics, and Advanced Progression Selection Crate II. Secret Sanctuary runs Nov 5 12:00 through Dec 3 04:00 server.
Permanent mode updates
- Echoes of War gets Season of Phantasia after the update through Nov 5 11:59, then Season of Fervor from Nov 5 12:00. Each season adds three new stages; Normal clears on those stages pay Oroberyl ×300.
- Umbral Monument adds Murmurs of the Deep Forest (four stages) on Oct 22 12:00, with Monumental Etching: Forest of Maras limited rewards including Oroberyl ×1200 through Nov 5 04:00.
- Delver of the Cryptic adds Fade Beyond the Painting on Nov 12 12:00 (three Protocol Spaces first, three more Nov 19 04:00) for Oroberyl ×1200.
AIC Factory, combat, and system QoL
Sanctuary of Ink is not only banners. The factory and team tooling changes are the everyday upgrades.
Auto-Farmer and Wuling development
Regional Development Level cap for Wuling is raised. Yinglung Pass Stock Redistribution Terminal level cap rises, and new exchange goods appear. The new Auto-Farmer facility can Auto-Germinate and Auto-Harvest in the Farm in Si's Painting once unlocked, then later in Wuling City farming as the story progresses. Facility placement also got softer: you can place a facility if it is in your backpack or any depot, or if any depot already holds enough craft materials.

- Map markers that show farming status and Auto-Farmer info
Combat and team screens
- Combo skill priority: set order on the Team screen so simultaneous combo skills release in your preset order
- Team06 and Team07 slots for more saved lineups
- Long-press lock-on now opens a reticle so you can aim the camera and lock the nearest enemy under the reticle
Gear Plan, Sanity Meds, Cabin Shift Rotation
Gear Plan lets you save and name multiple gear setups and swap them for different lineups. That is the feature most veterans will feel every day.
LTO Sanity Meds Auto-Use Upon Expiration converts expiring limited Sanity Meds into Sanity. Overflow becomes Sanity Essences via Sanity Extractors when you are already at the Sanity cap. Essences do not expire. If you are capped on Sanity and Essences and have no Extractors, remaining LTO meds are destroyed. Clear inventory before big expiration dates.
Cabin Shift Rotation lets each cabin hold up to two operator shifts (A and B). Activate Shift swaps manually; Auto-Rotate can cycle them. Production can halt if a shift's estimated work time cannot cover the schedule, so do not set empty night shifts and walk away.
Protocol Pass and Acquisition Center
Protocol Pass: Ink Scroll is the seasonal pass for this version. Basic Supply unlocks by default when you activate the pass. Level-up rewards include Basic HH Permits, Oroberyls, Exchange Crate-o-Surprise, and progression materials. Advanced Progression Selection Crate I is replaced by Crate II, and Warp Plasma-Coated Slide is a new selectable progression material. Bundles added include Wondrous View Collection Pack, Protocol Flow Bundle, Omnipresence HH Bundle, and Star River HH Bundle. Value Arsenal Ticket Pack purchase limit resets.

Account linking
First Steam launch requires linking Steam to a Gryphline Account:
- Existing Gryphline account: choose Log Into Existing Account and Link
- New player: choose Register and Link
You can unlink later from the Gryphline User Center. Progress carries on the same server after linking. Asia data does not share with Americas/Europe. Pick the server where your character already lives.
Purchases and playtest progress persist on the same account. Steam Overlay must be enabled for in-game purchases. Steam builds update only through Steam, not GRYPHLINK.
System requirements
If you already have progress on another platform and your PC clears these specs, Steam is a convenient second client on the same account rather than a fresh start. Players moving a high-progress Endfield save between phone and PC should treat Gryphline linking and server selection as the real checklist, not the Steam install alone.
First-week plan for Sanctuary of Ink
A practical order for the first sessions after maintenance:
- Finish the reinstall, log into the correct server, and claim both Oroberyl compensation mails once Mail unlocks.
- Push main story toward Paint with Fresh Ink and open Wuling - Si's Painting.
- Start Yuanyuan Manor Inn Session Tasks and All the Inky Hues while Spirit's Restoration sign-in is ticking.
- Decide whether Rejuvenation (Si) or saving for Argent Flow (Nov 5) is your pull plan before you burn HH permits.
- Unlock Auto-Farmer when the story allows, then set Gear Plans and combo skill priority for your main teams.
